As the co-founder and co-leader of True's Consumer practice, Shella joined the firm in 2016 to build True's beauty, fashion and lifestyle sector, which has since grown to become industry-leading both domestically and internationally.  In her most recent role, she co-led the CEO & Board practices, which she continues to remain closely involved with in parallel with the company’s consumer global efforts and expansion.

Shella brings a significant body of executive search experience prior to True, namely with Heidrick & Struggles, initially as a member of the digital media, entertainment & sports practice before transitioning to retail, fashion & luxury.  Her professional career began as a consultant at Deloitte & Touche LLP where she analyzed and resolved international tax and finance issues faced by multinational corporations.

With more than 20 years of experience in executive search across various categories and a foundation built as a consultant, Shella possesses an innovative perspective which has delivered best-in-class experiences for candidates and clients ranging from pre-revenue startups to Fortune 100 organizations.

Shella holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in public policy from the University of Chicago.  She is fluent in Korean and while based in the firm’s New York office, lives in New Jersey with her family.
